Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 3, 2026

AI Teacherly ("AI Teacherly," "we," "us," or "our") operates the AI Teacherly website, mobile applications, and web platform (collectively, the "Service"). This policy explains what information we collect, why we use it, who may process it, and the choices available to parents, guardians, students, teachers, and school administrators.

AI Teacherly is designed for children and families. A parent or legal guardian must provide any consent required by applicable law before a child under 13 creates or uses an account. Schools may also authorize student use under their applicable legal and contractual responsibilities.

Information we collect

Information provided by parents and account holders

  • Parent or account-holder name and email address.
  • Child first name or display name, grade, and learning preferences.
  • Account credentials and authentication information.
  • Subscription, billing, and transaction details handled by our payment provider.
  • Messages, support requests, and other information you choose to send us.

Information created through learning

  • Lessons, assignments, answers, quiz scores, progress, mastery, and practice history.
  • Questions, requests for hints, and other tutoring interactions.
  • Teacher-created content and school/classroom information.

Device, usage, and website information

We may receive IP address, browser or device type, approximate location derived from IP, crash or diagnostic information, and information about how the Service is used. The website currently uses Google Analytics to understand aggregate website traffic. Where required, we will obtain consent before using non-essential cookies or similar technology.

Voice, image, and camera features

Some product features may request access to a microphone, camera, image, video, or voice sample. We collect and process that information only when the feature is enabled and you grant permission, for the stated feature purpose. Parents should review the in-product notice before enabling these features. If a feature is not enabled, the app does not collect that category solely because it is available.

How we use information

  • Provide lessons, tutoring, assignments, progress tracking, and personalization.
  • Maintain accounts, authenticate users, and provide customer support.
  • Send service, assignment, reward, and account communications.
  • Process subscriptions and prevent fraud or misuse.
  • Secure, troubleshoot, measure, and improve the Service.
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our agreements.

We do not sell children's personal information or use children's information for behavioral advertising. We do not use learning data to make decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects on a child.

Children's privacy and parental rights

We use reasonable procedures to obtain verifiable parental consent when required before collecting personal information from a child under 13. Parents and guardians may request access to, correction of, or deletion of their child's information, revoke consent, or refuse further collection. We will not require a child to disclose more information than reasonably necessary to participate in an activity.

To make a request, email coppa@aiteacherly.com. We may need to verify the requester's identity and parental relationship. We aim to acknowledge requests within 48 hours and complete verified deletion requests within 30 days, subject to legally required retention.

Sharing and service providers

We share information only as needed to operate the Service, comply with law, or protect users. Service providers may process hosting, database, authentication, analytics, payments, email, push notifications, security, and AI or voice functionality on our instructions. They may not use children's information for their own advertising.

For example, Firebase Cloud Messaging may process device push tokens to deliver permitted notifications. Google Analytics may process website usage information according to its own terms and settings. The exact providers may change as the Service evolves.

Retention, security, and deletion

We retain information while an account or school relationship is active and for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described here. We delete or de-identify it when it is no longer needed, unless law, dispute resolution, security, or legitimate business records require longer retention. Account deletion requests can be submitted at aiteacherly.com/account/delete.

We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to the information and risk, including encryption in transit, access controls, and secure credential storage. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

California, EEA, and other regional rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or obtain a copy of personal information, withdraw consent, or appeal a decision about a privacy request. California residents may also have rights regarding the sale or sharing of personal information; AI Teacherly does not sell personal information. Contact us to exercise applicable rights. We will not discriminate against you for making a valid request.

International transfers

Information may be processed in countries other than the country where you live. Where required, we use appropriate contractual or other safeguards for cross-border transfers.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the Service, law, or our practices change. We will post the revised version here, update the date above, and provide additional notice for material changes where required.
